1. Who We Are
FilmyIQ (filmyiq.com) is a film trivia platform operated by Durvesh Patil. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@filmyiq.com.
2. What We Collect
FilmyIQ does not require an account to play. If you choose to sign in with Google, we store your Google account ID, name, email address, and profile picture, to identify your account, plus your Daily Challenge scores and streak so they follow you across devices. We never receive or store your Google password. You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time by emailing hello@filmyiq.com.
We collect limited data automatically through third-party tools:
- Google Analytics — page views, session duration, device type, approximate geographic region, and referral source. This data is aggregated and anonymized.
- Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights — performance metrics and page load data to help us improve site speed.
3. Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These are analytics cookies only. FilmyIQ itself does not set any cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. How We Use Data
We use analytics data solely to:
- Understand which quiz categories and features are most used
- Improve site performance and user experience
- Measure overall traffic trends
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
The following third-party services process data on our behalf. Their own privacy policies apply:

6. Children's Privacy
FilmyIQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the site grows (e.g., if we add user accounts or advertising). The effective date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
